Selina grew up in London and learnt violin in the traditional way at school. Following a music degree she became a violin teacher, and took up Suzuki training when she found out about Suzuki’s holistic philosophy of music education. She trained on the Midlands Suzuki course and passed the final level in 2020.
Since becoming a Suzuki teacher she has been delighted with the beautiful playing and excellent progress of her students. She teaches in Wales, Herefordshire and at the Royal Birmingham Junior Conservatoire Young Strings Project, and she plays orchestral and chamber music with friends. She has had two children of her own who learnt Suzuki string instruments.
