To be considered for any of these awards you must register and submit your applications for places with the deposit payment in the normal way and under the standard Terms & Conditions. Please then briefly set out your circumstances and the student’s details in an email to [email protected] outlining reasons of eligibility. A decision on making the awards will be made before 1st June.

LSG Bursary Scheme

Families seeking bursaries to attend are advised to get their Summer School applications in quickly. It is hoped that the policies set out below will be sustainable well into the future.

LSG student bursary recipients will continue to receive a bursary for the Summer School at half the percentage of their main LSG Bursary, so a 70% LSG Bursary recipient will receive a 35% reduction of their main fee for the Summer School.

A 25% Bursary for the Parent or Other Adult accompanying a LSG Bursary child to the LSG International Summer School at Bryanston is available. This only applies to one Parent or Other Adult per family.

These reductions do not apply to extra costs such as additional classes (e.g. Theory or Viola for Violinists), transport, excursions, or sports coaching nor for Weekend Visitors.

Please state in the Playing Child’s Music Notes section of the application that your child receives a Bursary from the LSG. This information will be checked with the LSG Office and the Business Manager will then apply the Bursary % reductions to the family’s main fees. An invoice for the balance due after the reductions will be provided.

The Deposit of £100 per fee paying person should be paid when submitting the applications.

Students receiving an award or bursary are expected to play in a lunchtime solo concert.
