Michelle PostOriginally from New Zealand, Michelle began her music studies as one of the first generation of Suzuki Children in NZ at the age of 4 with Margaret Crawshaw.

 

Completing her Bachelor of Piano Performance in NZ studying with Bryan Sayer, Michelle won all of the national piano competitions in her home country before international scholarships took her to the University of Washington in Seattle, USA, in order to complete her Masters in Music and then to the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne, Germany, where she studied with Nina Tichman and completed her Concert Performance degree.

Michelle has given many solo and chamber music concerts over the years, but due to her love of teaching, has been fortunate to teach since she was a student herself. Recently Michelle has given masterclasses and courses in all of the Baltic countries, Finland, France, England and New Zealand.

Michelle has recently completed her Level 5 Training as a Suzuki Piano Teacher, and is also a trained Suzuki Early Childhood Education Teacher (SECE) whose musical knowledge and considerable professional stage experience can help not only the most advanced pianists but also the tiniest students in her class.

 

Michelle is now teaching at her new piano studio in Zürich, Switzerland.
