Jadie Carey

Jadie Carey began her musical career in Birmingham before training formerly at the Royal college of Music under the tutorage of Christopher Bunting.
After freelancing for a couple of years, she travelled to South Africa to play in the Durban Philharmonic Orchestra before gaining the co-principal seat in the Johannesburg Radio Orchestra. Upon returning to the Midlands, she has enjoyed a varied career engaging in many different musical projects, commissioning a five string electric cello, recording with many diverse bands and developing a love for jazz and improvisation on both the electric cello and 5 string bass. More recently she has been working with the CBSO and performing recitals with various chamber ensembles.

Jadie has always maintained a passion for coaching cello and runs a private teaching practice in Birmingham. She has trained to Suzuki level 5.
