Haruo Goto

Haruo Goto began learning Suzuki Violin at the age of 3 with Shoichi Yamamura, in Nagoya, Japan. At the age of 12 he toured the United States of America and Canada as a soloist with the Ten Children Concert Tour Group. At 14 he toured with the Ten Children Tour to Germany, France, Switzerland, England, United States of America, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Peru. Haruo has also been a guest performer at International Suzuki Conferences in Berlin, Hawaii, Japan and Australia.

In 1987, after several years of study with Dr Suzuki at the Talent Education Institute in Matsumoto, Japan, Haruo received his Suzuki teacher’s Certificate. In 1988 he moved to Australia and began teaching the Suzuki Method.

As well as teaching at his thriving studios in Sydney, Australia, Haruo has had the privilege of giving masterclasses and teaching at workshops in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Belgium, Lithuania, Spain and Singapore.

Haruo currently holds the position of Teacher Trainer with the Suzuki Talent Education Association of Australia (NSW) Ltd.
