Anne Beitel Thomas began her journey with the violin aged 5 as a Suzuki child in St. Louis, Missouri. She studied in the BMus program in the Indiana University School of Music (now the Jacobs School of Music) and subsequently attended Washington University in St. Louis where she graduated with a BA in Mathematics. Anne completed ESA Level 5 Suzuki training in 2019 and two violin performance diplomas in the years just preceding. She now runs a busy private studio in Acton, West London and teaches at Little Venice Suzuki Group, as well as at the upper-school campus of Southbank International School. Anne teaches Saturdays at Junior Trinity, the junior conservatory program of the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. She serves as a trustee and interim chair of the London Suzuki Group, chaired its Teachers’ Committee for 7 years, and is part of the leadership team of the LSG Bryanston summer school. Anne plays regularly with Covent Garden Chamber Orchestra, Salomon Orchestra and Orchestra at the Reform Club and as a soloist at the American International Church. Teaching Suzuki violin is Anne’s second, joyful career which follows a 20-year career in marketing and corporate leadership.
