Marta Ortega López, started playing violin at the age of 7, at the Conservatoire of Vila-seca with R.Fabregat and E.Tieles. She has a degree in violin pedagogy from ESMUC, (Barcelona) with R.Castro. She trained as a Suzuki teacher in London with the BSMA, and completed the training with Koen Rens in Barcelona. She trained in Music Mind Games and SECE. She plays with several orchestras like OCCatalana, and plays modern styles of music with Gio orchestra among others. She ran violin and music programmes at the Anne Sullivan International School, Barcelona. She has taught on Suzuki courses, in Spain and Belgium. She is also a backing singer with D.Lumbreras. She is the secretary of the board of Amsc (Catalan Suzuki Association) organizing Suzuki Training and workshops in Catalonia. Marta has a Suzuki cello playing child, and so far being a Suzuki mum is the challenging part of the Suzuki triangle.
