Check this page for a quick look at what’s new at the LSG International Summer School 2024 versus the prior year:

For all LSG Bryanston faculty – and any parents or final year students who are also Suzuki teachers or interested in becoming a Suzuki teacher – Carey Beth Hockett will be offering “Strategies for Suzuki Group Class Teachers” in Elder Hall during the Wednesday afternoon when there are no summer school classes. Participants will learn ways to elevate their Suzuki group teaching skills and enhance engagement and productivity in group classes for all levels. Teachers of violin, viola, cello and bass are welcome to join. Bring your instruments! Timings will be 5:00-6:30pm, with a break for dinner 6:30-7:30pm, followed by class again 7:15-8:45pm.

There is a new electronic sign-up system for piano practise rooms.

LSG Bryanston is committed to supporting the training of the next generation of Suzuki teachers. In addition to the BSMA teacher training course which will run alongside the summer school like always, one trainee per year may be offered a special role teaching, supporting experienced faculty on the course, and playing in the orchestras where required. This year that trainee is Eleanor Walton. You can look out for her in the viola classes.
