Nancy Grace Borrett<\/h2>\n

\"NancyNancy Grace Borrett began her violin training at the age of four, with Andreas Nicolaou. From sixteen Nancy studied at Colchester Institute, winning the Chamber Music and the Solo String Prize. She was the leader of the Chamber and Symphony Orchestras. During this time she had the privilege of performing with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields under Sit Neville Marriner and playing on BBC Radio 4.<\/p>\n

After graduating Nancy embarked on her Suzuki Teacher Training whilst studying at the Royal Birmingham Concervatoire. She continued her Post Graduate studies under Nicholas Fallowfield and Nicholas Miller. Nancy also furthered her Suzuki Teacher Training under Heather Clemson whilst teaching as part of the Birmingham Music Service. It was at this time she travelled to Japan as a teacher and was privileged to play Dr Suzuki\u2019s violin!<\/p>\n

Nancy moved to London where she qualified as a Level 1 \u201cMusic Mind Games\u201d teacher under Michiko Yurko. She worked for many years as part of the Suzuki in Schools project and at the Suzuki Hub. Moving to Henley on Thames she continued to work part time in London, alongside fellow Suzuki teacher Claudio Forcada as part of Studio Forcada. Since the pandemic Nancy has formed a Suzuki studio in Chichester and back in her home town of Ryde on the Isle of Wight. She has taught at various workshops throughout the UK and Europe including France, Spain and Holland. Some of her articles on \u2018The importance of review\u2019 and \u2018Helping parents practice\u2019 have been published in the Suzuki Magazine, \u2018Ability.\u2019<\/p>\n
